Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Doggy Dogg, the ultimate majijuana smoker & also nicknamed 'Snoopy'

(attributed in adolescence by his mother because of his resemblance to a dog, the main character in the comic strip Peanuts).

One day in 1992, while selling drugs at Long Beach's high school, he serendipitously traded his drug for a microphone and start rapping Snoop decided to embark on a rap career, releasing a string of freestyles that caught the attention of hip-hop royalty.

The following year, he released his debut album, having signed to Death Row Records (founded by Dr. Dre and Suge Knight). "Doggystyle" catapulted him to stardom, selling over 50 million copies worldwide, climbs to the top of the charts and quickly goes multi-platinum. Establishing him as a rap icon with its laid-back West Coast vibe, explicit lyrics, and undeniable swagger.

After that, with a serie of 19 successful albums and major featurings, he became an international star because of his addiction to majijuana and the fact that he tried his hand at everything, His impact extends far beyond his musical accomplishments, as he has become a cultural icon appearing in films and even hosting his own reality show. He has been a member of rap groups such as 213, Tha Eastsidaz & Mount Westmore. All in all, Snoop Dogg become one of the most influential and enduring figures in hip-hop history and will remain so for years to come.
